Description
This is from a top of the market collection, comprising of just early stereo rarities on Decca HMV, UK Columbia & RCA. First labels issues in Near Mint condition to 99% of them, all described in detail with plenty of pictures. Includes many items rarely seen on ebay.
1st anywhere type issue Uk Decca ED1 Decca ED1 Decca 1955 TRUE Stereo of Keilberth & the Bayreuth Festival in Wagner: The Flying Dutchman. This exist I believe because a back up reel recorder was left running at all times, away from the desk, and when played back 14 years after, it appears to have a different spatial feel to the master separate recording, so the two make a true stereo master for the first time with this 1970 issue on three lp's.
Labels are ED1 for the year of issue. The original company inners are present. This set is visually near mint with good sheen & no marks to the playing surfaces, has clean labels with very few spindle marks, and the sleeves are Near Mint, as seen in pics, no pen or excess dirt, no splits or bends. A definitive account.
