On offer today is a Original 1958 UK issue of Eddie Cochran's first and only LP 'Singin to my baby'!
Released in 1957 in the USA and 1958 in the UK (despite what others say, it was defiantly 1958!) 'Singin' to my baby' was the one and only LP Eddie Cochran recorded in his short life, It was released as a 12 track LP in the USA, but for some reason when the album got its UK release, London records added 3 extra tracks! Which to be fair was defiantly value for money back in those days! The LP format was still very new in the UK and most people were still buying 78rpm shellac records in 1958, LPs were very expensive then and most people would have bought Elvis, Pat Boone and other major stars at that time, therefore London didn't press very many copies of Eddies 1st LP and his records really didn't sell in high quantities until his unfortunate death in 1960, which by that time his record label (Liberty) had established a UK contract with EMI, So to find any of his early records (especially his one and only LP) on London records is extreamly rare!
This is the original 1958 UK 1st press issue (HA-U 2093) on the Plum/Silver London label complete with original poly lined inner sleeve!
Sleeve Condition : VG (very nice example of this sleeve, The front looks great with only light creases round the edge and very slight wear to the bottom, Rear looks a bit more worn but nothing serious, a couple of small portions of the flipback have gone but and a very small rip on the opening and very slight aging, but to be fair, 99% of these covers turn up absolutely trashed to pieces due to the thin and flimsy card they used to print them with (most 50s sleeves suffer with problems) This particular sleeve is very good! No seam splits, or bad creasing, very presentable! Look at the photos!
Record Condition : EX (Absolutely gorgeous surfaces with only a few of the lightest marks and lovely shiny surfaces! Extreamly rare to find this LP in such good condition as most were usually worn out completely! This one is absolutely marvellous!

- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
- EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
- VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
- GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
- FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
- POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
- BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
