Description

Unbelievably rare original 1960 mono release of this exotica/psych classic, years ahead of its time and reviewed as a must-have in Acid Archives, in really nice shape. The songwriter of the classic song "Nature Boy" (made famous by Nat King Cole), this exotic/meditative song cycle captures the hippie ideal before such a thing existed. This is a Monarch press of the original mono mix that has not seen release for over 60 years and is unavailable on any of the knockoff reissues and just smacks you in the face - the creaks of the wood on "The Old Boat" sound like my house is falling apart. The jacket is nice and solid with some slight chipping but no seam splits and some age marks as shown on the back that would push it under VG+.  The vinyl is nice and clean with scattered marks and plays as VG+ on my turntable with a mono switch (occasional ticks).
