Up for sale is a VERY RARE vinyl copy of Eden Ahbez's Eden's Island. This is the 1960 STEREO version of the exotica album from Delphonic DFST-1211.

I acquired this recently from someone who was moving and didn't wish to lug her records around anymore. She had acquired them from a relative who obviously took very good care of his vinyl albums. The cover has some slight staining along the edges of the front cover and some staining along the back cover as well. The top of the cover is split. Please refer to photos for detail. All in all, it's a great looking album for display.

The true gem of this piece is the vinyl lp. As mentioned, this is the very difficult to find STEREO copy. I can't find another stereo version anywhere on the internet. There is the original owners name written lightly on the label of side 1. There is also some slight roughing around the spindle hole of side 1 as you can see. This is not present on side 2. Any scuffs at all would be slight and light. I have listened to this record myself and it sounds near perfect. I would rate it as Excellent.

I doubt the odds of finding this for sale anywhere soon are slim. I would describe it as early exotica.

Eden Ahbez is regarded by some to be the original hippie. Living under the giant Hollywood sign with his family and living off a few dollars a day he wrote one of Nat King Cole's hits entitled 'Nature Boy'. A few years later he went on to recording his one and only album 'Eden's Island' released in 1960.

If an item arrives defective or 'not as advertised', the bidder/buyer must initiate contact within 5 days of having received the item. Returned item must be same item purchased and unopened if bought unopened. I will determine the best method for resolving the issue and return contact in a timely manner. Once a return has been authorized by us (RDJ-Auctions), the bidder/buyer has 10 days to return the item. In a Nutshell; if it is our fault, we'll fix it. We will pay for return shipping on 'not as advertised' products only.
