Mega Rare Original 1969 Harvest Records Nr Mint UK TRUE 1st Pressing (A1//B1 Matrix - No EMI Logo!) 'Wasa Wasa' The Debut Album by The Edgar Broughton Band, Absolutely Stunning Unblemished 1st Press Thick & Chunky Vinyl!!! Complete with 1st Press Laminated E.J. Day Gatefold Sleeve!!! Amazing Lost Heavy Psych Classic on Harvest!!! Very, Very Rare as a True UK 1st Pressing and Almost impossible to Find in Nr Mint Vinyl Condition!!!
You are bidding on a STUNNING UK Harvest 1st Pressing (A1//B1 - No Emi Label & 'Gramophone Co.' text) of 'Wasa Wasa' , the debut LP by the awesome Edgar Broughton Band! What can I say about this record - it is pure heavy psych bliss from start to finish!!! This album, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated UK psych/freak-beat albums of all time, it easily sits up there with the best work of Beefheart et al. If you have never heard this band before - this is the place to start, this is by far their heaviest psych album, and as more people are discovering the EBB, you will soon be paying big money to own this, a MInt- Harvest 1st pressing of their debut. What make this particular record so very rare is firstly that it is the EARLIEST UK Harvest 1st Pressing, secondly it is in STUNNING Nr Mint vinyl condition!!! Firstly and perhaps most importantly, it has the correct A1//B1 matrix identifying it as the first record pressed from the master. Secondly it has all the correct label information; the omission of the EMI logos at nine o'clock, and the inclusion of the rim text beginning with 'The Gramophone Co.' It is also important to note that this record is fully complete with its TRUE UK 1st press Laminated E.J. Day gatefold Sleeve and UK patents inner sleeve!!! When this album turns up today it is almost always a Harvest repressing with the EMI logos on the centre labels, further, virtually every other copy I have seen of this record has been trashed; in terrible condition with lots of marks & scratches etc. This one IS NOT!!! Aside from being the true UK 1st pressing, what makes this one SO rare is its STUNNING condition!!! It has no marks to the playing surfaces whatsoever - not even a hairline!!! This record grades as a Stone-Cold Nr Mint!!! You will not find a better 1st press example of this Psych Classic!!! A truly beautiful 1st press example of this increasingly rare album, don't miss it!!!
Looking at this record still amazes me as much as it did when I first purchased it some years ago as part of a mint- private Beefheart/Harvest -psych collection. These were all records that were brought from new and played just once by the original owner. I have gone into greater detail below but all you really need to know is that, firstly, the actual disc is simply MINT- There is not a mark or a blemish on it - not even a hairline, it's as simple as that!!! The E. J. Day laminated 1st press sleeve is also superb. It is by far the best copy of this album that I have ever seen, let alone had the pleasure of owning. Check it out below... Again, I cannot stress how rare this album is to find as a true Extra Thick & Chunky UK Harvest 1st press with A1//B1 Matrix and Laminated E.J. Day Gatefold Sleeve!!!

This vinyl is in stunning immaculate condition!!! The Classic 1st press yellow 'no EMI box' Harvest Record centre labels are in stunning condition with NO Tears, NO Peeling, NO Grubbyness, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind!!! There are virtually NO spindle lines, only the faintest traces that can only be seen when angling the record towards light (by holding the record angled toward a window). The gramophone rims containing the all important 1st press matrix's are MINT-!!! What can I say about this vinyl - It is stone cold MINT- with NO Scratches, No scuffing, NO Hairlines NO Bagrash, NO blemishes of any kind at all! It is absolutely perfect - it's as simple as that!!! This disc looks like it came off the master press this morning!!! Impossible for a 1969 UK Harvest 1st pressing!!! It has all the deep shine a newly pressed record that as only ever been played once before!!! The record still retains ALL its original gloss and shine and has NO dulling and NO nasty greying of the grooves!!! I am very pleased to state that this is a record that also plays as good as it looks!!! It it has NO jumps, NO skips, NO between track crackle and NO nasty loud pops!!! The thick quality pressed chunky 1960's vinyl looks and feels great (it is very heavy!). I have no hesitation whatsoever with grading this vinyl as a strong Mint-!!! Its as simple as that!!! (suitable for the highest grade mint- collection - you will not find a better example!!) The classic 1st press thickly laminated E.J. Day 1st press laminated gatefold sleeve is also in tremendous condition!!! These 1st press sleeves always turn up totally worn out-looking nowadays with severe damage to the spine, with corner & edge wear, stains and ring wear (especially to the back). Suffice to say, they have not remained in prime condition over the years. THIS SLEEVE IS DIFFERENT!! It is in STUNNING condition with NO Tears, NO Stains, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind - It is completely blemish free!!! The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with NONE OF THE RING WEAR THAT IS SO COMMON WITH THESE SLEEVES!!! It has the virtually NO edge and corner wear!!! There are no nasty scribbles/stains or blemishes of any kind!!! It has no discoloration!!! Impossible for this sleeve!! The laminate is also stunning, with a beautiful glossy sheen and NO cracking whatsoever!!! There are just some a few very small creases coming out from the spine, the spine itself is in MINT condition with NO laminate cracking and mint legible spine text!!! There is just one laminate crease on the backside of the album, but I must stress that this is JUST a laminate crease and NOT a card crease (i.e. you cannot see the impression of the crease on the inside of the sleeve!) The sleeve opens up to reveal a beautiful un-laminated inner gatefold which is in A1 Mint- condition!!! One interesting thing to note about this sleeve is that the E.J. Day factory pasting procedure must have been slightly mis-aligned by approx. 0.3cm because the pasting of the inner to outer gatefold is very slightly out of synch, leaving a small 0.3cm inner to outer lip at both ends! Bizarre, but only noticeable if you are looking for it and it in no way detracts from this beautiful sleeve, in fact I think it adds to it!!! It grades at least Excellent at the very least (most would grade it much higher!!!) Comes complete with its ORIGINAL Nr Mint Inner sleeve with correct 'Patent No' and 'Made in Gt. Britain' text. The inner is perfect with NO creasing, NO discolouration and NO writing/scribbles!!!!!! This really is a one off chance to own a superb example of this the scarce UK Press of this rare and classic Harvest LP. Don't miss this one as copies like this only come around very rarely!!! Check out our feedback and bid with confidence as this is a no reserve auction with a very low starting price!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thanks for reading.
