Description
EDGAR BROUGHTON BAND
" WASA WASA "
Released in 1969 on HARVEST RECORDS,
Catalogue number SHVL 757 (Stereo)
The LABELS are in excellent condition with a few light spindle trails around the hole, visible when the labels are angled in light.
The MATRIX numbers are; Side One, SHVL 757 A - 1 , Side Two, SHVL 757 B - 1 indicating that this is one of the original FIRST PRESSINGS, renowned for superior audio quality.
VINYL
The VINYL is in near MINT condition with a beautiful sheen and NO noticeable marks, scuffs or scratches.
I have just play checked this LP and the sound is MAGNIFICENT, as is the norm with these HARVEST early pressings. Side One play grades MINT on my system; Garrard 401 turntable with SME 3009 arm, Shure V-15 type III Cartridge going thru a Leak Varislope Pre-amp and Leak Stereo 50 Valve Amp then out of a pair of B & W DM 640 Speakers. I do mean MINT !!! Side Two also play grades MINT, no clicks, pops or skips, SUPERB, this REALLY is in great condition !!! So good, that I imagine that it will be a long time before one as good as this becomes available again, if at all !!!
SLEEVE
The LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE has a one small creases near and on the centre of the spine, although other than this the spine itself is straight and firm with no shelf wear (see photo). The unlaminated internal cover is spotless and MINT. The opening edges are nice and sharp with no feathering, there is no shelf wear to the edges or the corners, it certainly warrants a MINT - grading (see photo). LP comes in it's ORIGINAL HARVEST INNER SLEEVE, also in EXCELLENT condition, with a little age discolouration by the opening edge, and a few light creases.
