THE ELASTIC BAND EXPANSIONS ON LIFE
DECCA NOVA DN 6 (UK) 1969 MONO
ORIGINAL MONO UK PRESSING NEAR MINT CONDITION
one of the few British albums of the era to successfully marry psych and progressive styles and also one of the best - each and single track here is a gem - the record is in strong near mint condition with only the lightest, almost invisible surface paper scuffs and a very faint ‘haze’ due to many years of storage, having remained possibly unplayed until I checked it - following very careful playgrading of the entire album, I can report that both sides play perfectly - STONE COLD MINT and absolutely as-new, including wonderfully silent linking grooves - great mono presence and crisp, sharp clarity - there is an original shop price in pencil to the side two label (easily erasable with care) - note: Decca did not use the normal red labels for the very, very few mono issues released in this fine Nova progressive series and this is the ORIGINAL and, of course, completely correct design and colour - really nice dark blue-grey mono labels with NO spindle marks - the sleeve has two small and minimal sticker tears to the lamination at the top right front (see photo) - extremely glossy and largely black front cover makes this one difficult to photograph - sleeve has moderate circular wear to the rear (again, see photo) - VERY RARE UK MONO PRESSING with the correct original red and white mono poly-lined inner bag and selling with NO RESERVE
