Description
78 RPM 10" ACETATE in VG condition
(scattered light marks on both sides not affecting play very much. A little bit dirty but I am hesitant to clean it. Some noise -- no cracks in finish but a couple of chips on the edge and a little metal showing there. Nail polish would maybe be a good idea to seal those).
This is a 10" demo ACETATE (read more about acetates below)
This is most likely an acetate of CHESS 78 # 1539 (1952). I can not compare them because I do not have the Chess stock 78. A cool gospel record though
The sound files have some blank spots. This is to protect the property of the auction winner.
ACETATES are plastic coated aluminum discs that were custom "cut" at the studio and used for demos or reference. They are meant for temporary use but will last well if stored well and played sparingly. Many of the most unique and rare moments in record collecting are recorded only on acetates
