This is an original UNITED KINGDOM first pressing of the classic LP called ELECTRIC LADYLAND by THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE. This fantastic LP was released on TRACK RECORDS in 1968. As you can see on the inside of the gate fold sleeve has the BLUE TEXT and the large pictures of Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell . All later pressings the text below the pictures was white. And the portraits of Noel and Mitch were much smaller. Also on the vinyl on the reverse of side A you will find Side D and on the reverse of side B is side C just as the matrix numbers are written above.
The condition of the sleeve is ASTOUNDING. BEST I have seen. Its pretty flawless. The lovely wide spine is EXCELLENT . All four corners are very sharp. There is no ring ware . That suggests to me the records have been stored correctly on the outside of the album jacket. Inside the gate fold is just as lovely. its only flaw is two very light laminate creases in the blue text this is a manufacturing flaw. If you double click the pictures and look to the top of the spine. You will see there is a tiny bit of ware to the top of the spine and that is the only flaw to this sleeve. The sleeve grades at EXCELLENT MINUS. Both the original inner sleeves are present and are also EXCELLENT.
Two big thick heavy slabs of ENGLISH 1960`s vinyl. They just don`t make em like this any more. Another industry that has just gone to the dogs....
The label to side A has some light spindle marks but is in EXCELLENT order. This side of the vinyl has a lovely luster under a normal light. There are some really light hairlines to the vinyl but they have no affect on the playback of this lovely record. Side A is near EXCELLENT. Side D is just the same. It looks fantastic. Its only under a spot light you can see extremely light hairlines. No marks anywhere that can be felt.Again a SUPERB high luster, really really clean.
Side C and Side B are also EXCEPTIONALLY clean. There are spindle marks to all 4 of the labels and there are really really light hairlines to all sides but these records are in seriously good order. You have to tilt the records into the light to see the hairlines and all 4 sides of the vinyl have a great really great luster. These records have been played but they have been treated with a lot of respect that was always their due. I have test played the whole LP and it plays SUPERBLY with no flaws no jumps skipping and no bad clicks. The vinyls grade as EXCELLENT MINUS.
Genuine first UK pressings of ELECTRIC LADYLAND are really hard to find. In this condition they are much harder to locate. So when one does show up in this rare condition the demand for this quality will be high.

All my records are housed in Mobile Fidelity Mastering Sleeves. This prevents further paper scuffs marking the vinyl when removing the record from the original inner sleeve and prolongs the condition of the original inner sleeve .
