ELECTRIC MUD - ELECTRIC MUD
An impressive condition copy of this extremely rare, and one of the most highly sought after 1975 very first German private pressing prog/Krautrock holy grails, on the Förderturm label, stereo BL 30 201
The dead wax matrix numbers are :
Side 1 BL - 30201 - A (etched) with "PF" also hand etched into the dead wax area
Side 2 BL - 30201 - B (etched) with "PF" also hand etched into the dead wax area
The appearance and overall condition of the flat and heavy vinyl is excellent (EX). Actually in normal daylight the condition of the record comes across as near perfect, showing no marks and giving off a wonderful jet black sheen. It is only with close scrutiny under a strong light that a number of paper scuffs, a couple of small and very light small scuffs, and a few wispy hairlines come into view on each side of the vinyl. Nothing feelable, however, certainly nothing below the surface, and all coming across as purely superficial only. The person I bought this record off (many years ago) described the condition of the record to me a "near mint" - it is not, definitely a solid "excellent", however, and the terrific sound quality throughout supports this view. Considering the 50 year antiquity of this record it's overall appearance and condition is truly impressive - it is now very difficult to come across an original Förderturm private pressing of this prog rock gem in condition as impressive as this...actually it's extremely difficult to come across a copy of this LP in ANY condition!
The labels are excellent plus (EX+). Near perfect in fact, with just a couple of very light (barely noticeable) spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label. All of the black text upon the deep orange matt background, and iconic black art work/logo logo, remain in perfect condition and. Truly top notch.
The condition of the non-laminated "Peter & Thomas & Franz" outer sleeve is a solid very good (VG). A "heads up"...this thin cardboard, non-laminated outer sleeve is very fragile and extremely prone to wear and tear. All edges remain firm, including the spine, with some occasional mild wear and light scuffing on each, but there is a 5cm seam split in the middle of the top edge. The corners remain nicely defined right angles with just minimal rubbing on each and the opening edges are generally in very good shape with just the hint of some intermittent very light fraying. Next to the opening edge on the reverse side there are x3 marks where (presumably) a small strip of sellotape once existed on each - there is some light "peeling" damage where the middle strip has subsequently been peeled (see photo), and x2 1.5cm light outlines on the front side adjacent to the opening edge where the bottom strip has been removed. The art work, colouring, and text of both the exterior and interior of the gatefold remain in iconically very nice condition with still vibrant colouring and near perfect definition. I stress that the outer sleeve still remains fully functional and highly presentable, but "very good" is the correct grading.
The quality of the audio is excellent (EX) or better. Brilliant tone and clarity throughout, even at higher volume and on higher frequencies. No intrusive skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, or background interference. There is just a little (very minimal) background crackle at the beginning of each side and nut this is very trivial and non-intrusive. A brilliant album throughout with every track making for a great listen : inventive prog of the highest order interspersed with a hint of blues, some great organ riffs and guitar solos without being over indulgent...prog, rock, Krautrock, psych - call it what you like, this is just great music!
The tracks are :
Side 1 :
1. Hausfrauenreport
2. Die Toten klagen euch an
Side 2 :
1. Immer das alte Lied
2. Nichts zu Essen in der Not
Comes with perfet condition poly-lined inner sleeve.
In summary a truly impressive condition copy (there can't be too many better than this) of this extremely rare and highly sought after 1970 UK very first 1st press prog holy grail - highly collectible, a "must" for any serious vinyl collection and will only continue to gain in value.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting vinyl for more than 50 years and have amassed a huge collection covering a varied genre, but mostly of 1960's and 70's origin. Most of my records were originally bought by myself for my own collection, but during the past 30 years I have embellished my collection by buying records from a variety of sources : friends/acquaintances, car boot sales, auctions, and even through putting up a "vinyl wanted" notice in my wife's shop! I am now retired and take great delight in being able to spend more time scouring the country and attending boot sales and auctions in the hope of unearthing more vinyl gems...I am 65 years of age now and am still discovering bands and music of the 60's and 70's that I have never come across before. Wonderful! Richard
My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I'll sort out the problem. I offer a "no quibble" refund policy.
On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl thick cardboard "crucifix" style mailer along with at least two thick cardboard stiffeners. I take great care in separating the record from the outer sleeve in order to help prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection.
For this item postage & packaging will be UK £6.00, Royal Mail special delivery;
Continental Europe £12, and Rest of the World £16 respectively, Royal Mail 1st class international Airmail tracked and signed for
I DO discount post & packaging costs for multiple purchases. I do NOT profit from postage.
Good luck with your bidding!
NOTE : My vinyl descriptions comply with the official Record Collector vinyl grading guidelines :

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and /or creasing.
