ELECTRIC PRUNES " UNDERGROUND " REPRISE R-6262 , MONO,USA ...... CONDITION : COVER in VG++ has a transparent 1cm wide tape on bottom , hardly noticable , like it is not there , on back sleeve it has a scuff ........ RECORD has clean M- labels and vinyl is ULTRA SHINNY MINT !!!! It shows just one spindle mark on label ( that's possibly mine !!! ) .On the surface of the vinyl you see no hairlines ,no scuffs,no groove wear !! Not even under the strongest light . I mean this is a definitely MINT UNPLAYED vinyl copy !!!! Now i could talk for hours about the differences on the STEREO and the MONO mix . Personally i prefer the MONO , but the words of the drummer of the PRUNES i think are the best proof on that !!! I had a contact with him regarding the MONO mix for a PRUNES MONO copy i had few months ago in my listings . In few words the guys and almost all bands of the time until 1967 , when entering the studio what they had in mind is to record their lp as MONO ( afterall all 45s were coming out as MONO , which was the most familiar format for audiences either ) i mean the MONO was the original 1st pressing . As he clearly had stated to me the first mix was the MONO , it took them one week to do the final mix .... While for the STEREO which came later one after a while , it took them just few hours in the studio !!! I think this says much . the MONO 1st mix was what the guys had in mind when recording . The STEREO was a result of cheap remixing of the producer on his console ... ... Ofcours you have to hear them both to understand the difference since words are ok ,but what counts here is the audio "proof" . ..........................
