Description
ELFSTONE "Louisiana Teardrops" b/w "Beat The Clock"
Original 1967 pr0m0 45 on the WORLD PACIFIC label
Plays EXCELLENT
Little known psych rock single from 1967 has yet to be comped, or even paid much attention, which is downright SHOCKING when you consider the heavyweights involved. First of all, it’s arranged by Michael Lloyd, ex-West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band and genius behind the 1968 Smoke album (which, technically, he hadn’t finished when this single came out). And it was produced by Kim Fowley, who shouldn’t need an introduction. Kim sounds like he got the upper hand on the gritty, snotty Music Machine soundalike “Louisiana Teardrops,” while the intricate baroque Beatles/Sagittarius/Left Banke popsike of “Beat The Clock” has Michael Lloyd’s stamp all over it. The best of both worlds then. A BRILLIANT and rewarding little single. They don’t get much better than this.
HEAR THE RECORD YOU'RE BIDDING ON:
Winning bidder pays $4 shipping in the US (each add'l 45 adds only 50 cents), $6 to Canada (each add'l 45 only $1 extra), and $8 everywhere else except Italy (each add'l 45 adds $2). Italian customers must add $33 for registered insured priority airmail - no exceptions - because otherwise your mailman will be playing your record on his home system by this time next month.
Paypal accepted, as well as other methods too. Payment expected within 14 days of auction end, which I think is pretty fair. Don't make me track you down. I got a mortgage to pay too. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding!
