Description
Very rare album of Lebanon virtuoso singer and oud player Elia Baida, released on Baida Records, undated, ostensibly from the late 1950s - mid-1960s, judging by the heavy, non-flexible vinyl. Record is titled Vocalist and Composer PROF. ELIA BAIDA. Side 2 is titled BAGDADI & ATABA. No catalog number, dead wax on side 1 is etched SIDE 1- EB, side 2 is etched SIDE 2- EB. Album is in Mono. Vinyl is shiny, has scratches, plays with steady background noise and intermittent clicks, and doesn't skip on my turntable. Labels are clean. Jacket is hand-decorated on both sides, has old tape on the seams.
Record was cleaned on state of the art ultrasonic system, vacuumed on Loricraft RCM, placed in Japanese antistatic sleeve; the jacket is in new archival vinyl sleeve.
