Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Verve deep groove original MONO vinyl LP MG V-4006-2 - released 1956
EX deep groove vinyl has newish shine and gloss with a few superficial sleeve or pressing marks. No spindle marks on labels. Play test on NAD C555 turntable revealed mostly clear quiet analogue sound as was intended to be heard when recorded. There is occasional light surface and the periodic light click or pop commensurate with vinyl this age. None of which detracts from the overall superior sound and pressing. The laminated gatefold cover is VG with shelf and ring wear, a 2" upper rear right corner seam split, corner stubs, edge and corner wear, a small tear and dent upper center rear panel and crease lower right corner.
