Description

Beautiful copy of the original 1959 first mono pressing of the Ella & Louis version of Gershwin's Porgy & Bess, on Verve double-LP MG-V-4011. Original gatefold cover with 12-page booklet inside. Both discs are just beautiful with barely the slightest wear at all. Nearly pristine looking, and they play absolutely flawlessly and just beautifully. The cover has some water staining at the bottom edge but is otherwise in quite exceptionally nice shape. Usually these covers are quite a bit more worn than this copy. No ringwear and barely any edgewear. Just slight corner wear, with the lower right splitting just a tiny bit. Otherwise quite clean and beautiful. The booklet is near perfect. This is a truly top original copy, just lovely to hear.
