Description
For auction is ELMO HOPE's "Hope-Full: Solo and Duo Piano With Bertha Hope," on Riverside RLP-408, DG, MONO 1961.
SOUND: NM
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback is lovely overall. The only thing that keep it from solid "Mint" is the presence of a few random, isolated crackles here and there. Beyond that, the sound underneath is consistently clean and clear. A delightful listen.
VINYL: NM
This record hasn't been played many times. It was snug in the original inner-sleeve. There are no flaws I can detect, it looks clean and newish. A few faint smudges, that is all. The deep-grooved white "promo" labels are beautiful, practically pristine. A faint spindle mark on side A is all.
JACKET: VG+/NM
The jacket is terrific, with solid, clean edges and spine. Corners are very nice, with a little bit more wear on the bottom left one. Front and back covers are clean and in very nice condition with only minimal, routine wear. There is a "promo" stamp on the rear.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
A fantastic copy. No reserve, bidding starts at $25.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
