Description

Being offered is the first pressing on the Blue Horizon label of the 1969 compilation of Elmore James's "To Know a man" in the original gatefold sleeve.
The catalogue number is 7-66230 and the run outs are S7-66230 and then A1,B1,C1 or D1 which confirms it is the 1969 pressing.
What surprised me was that the vinyl looks absolutely unplayed. There is not a single mark, scratch or abrasion. I was loathe to play it because it is so pristine but I did do so just to make sure all was fine and it is crystal clear and clear as a bell. You can also see from the close up of the labels that there is absolutely no spindle wear. I am going to call the vinyl quality excellent but really it is as near mint as you are going to get vinyl of this age. If you are concerned about any apparent flecks or marks on the records in the photos it will be either my reflection in the vinyl, bits of dust on my phone lens or specks of dust that landed on the surface whilst I was handling the vinyl for photographing. 
However the label on volume 1,  side 1 does have some slight staining (photo 7), the label on side 2 (photo 8)  has a lot less, there is none on side 3 and 4.
The sleeve has very slight rubbing, but no tears , staining or rips round the edges, the spine edge (see photos 11 and 12) is however rubbed as a result of 50 odd years of storage and being moved around, but probably unplayed all these years. The liner bags which look originally are slightly browned and creased in the corners but you can see this in the photos.
