A UK album in original condition, featuring:

1. recorded ‘live’ at the A and R recording studios in New York on the 17th November 1970 in front of a small audience, Elton Johns first live album. According to John the album was never planned to be released,

2. original first issue UK 1970 sleeve, made of ‘thicker card’ and made by, ‘Garrod and Lofthouse’,

3. first issue UK 1970 record matrix of: DJLPS 414 A2 / B1,

4. the sleeves spine features the orginal ‘pinched ends’, top and bottom,

5. comes with its original inner sleeve.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition. The spine is in excellent condition and has remained clean and straight and all of the text on the spine is clear to read. The two opening edges of the sleeve have remained clean and sharp. There are NO splits, tears, pen writing stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good++ condition and is the original inner sleeve with the text printed in blue, ‘UK Patent No 1,072,844 foreign Patents pending’. There are NO splits, pen writing, stickers or sticker residue on the inner sleeve. To the front / left side opening edge there is a 10mm tear.

THE RECORD: side one is in very good++ condition, side two is in excellent++ condition. The record is made of the original period ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. The record has remained very dark and glossy.

The records matrix is: side one - DJLPS 414 A2, ‘hand etched’ and the number ‘6’ is also ‘hand etched’ onto the ‘run off’ groove. Side two - DJLPS 414 B1, ‘hand etched’ and the letter ‘F’ is also ‘hand etched’ onto the ‘run off’ groove.

The mother / stampers are: N/A,

THE AUDIO: each side of the record plays excellent. The record lays flat on the turntable and plays with a full loud, powerful period stereo sound.

THE RECORD LABELS: each of the record labels are in excellent++ condition. Each of the record labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

TO GRADE THE CONDITION OF THE RECORD I AM USING THE OFFICIAL GRADING SYSTEM FROM THE ‘RECORD COLLECTOR’ MAGAZINE.

RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVE, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
