Description

This is an extremely rare sales / merchandising / promo kit for the Elton John "Friends" soundtrack LP (Paramount Records #PAS-6004) 1971. This was sent to record distributors (and some record stores) prior to the album release. Comes with a white label promo test pressing of the LP. Record is in EXCELLENT condition. It does have a 1" hairline crack that extends from outer edge into the first track on both sides. Plays FINE, with only a light tick on first song on each side. Otherwise, record is in beautiful NEAR MINT condition.

Kit also comes with--two merchandising flyers...two different multi-page letters from Paramount executives...two 8" x 10" promo glossy photos...three different print advertising sheets (two sets of each)...26" x 8" glossy promo banner...all housed in a 12.5" x 12.5" folder /jacket (excellent condition).
