ELTON JOHN GOODBYE YELLOW BRICK ROAD UK 1973
RARE 1st PRESSING WITH RED VINYL
CAT No DJM 1001 MATRICES A4/B5/C3/D3
MAGICALLY THE VINYL LOOKS BLACK UNTIL YOU HOLD IT UP TO THE LIGHT
BEEN IN STORAGE FOR 25 YRS
This classic album is from my own private collection, it has been safely stored away for the past 25years when I moved to CDs. It is being liberated from its dark confines as the prices being achieved by these rare and now very desirable original editions in outstanding condition are too good to ignore.
The all important Matrix Numbers in the run out grooves are as follows:-
Side 1 DJLPD 1001 A3
Side 2 DJLPD 1001 B3
Side 3 DJLPD 1001 C3
Side 4 DJLPD 1001 D3
The first press trifold Garrod&Lofthouse sleeve is in outstanding condition with only the lightest wear around the edges, otherwise there are no tears, splits, writing or other prominent damage. There are no creases or bends and no handling marks the spline is also in excellent condition as can be seen from photos.
The vinyl discs are in excellent condition retaining a deep lustre with no ingrained dirt/dust and no scratches or pits, they have been unplayed for 25 years. I am a HiFi enthusiast so when they were played it was always on top end turntables like Linn Sondek to minimise groove wear. When records are not from a single owner it must be impossible to determine whether or not they have been played using cheap or misaligned tonearms arms which will cause premature groove wear.
DMJ produced some of there records on a red vinyl base which looks black until it is held up to the light and these discs are one of those rarities.
As can be seen from the detailed photographs the disc labels are in outstanding condition with only the faintest of spindle marks and center holes show no sign of wear at all.
This outstanding album will be securely packaged in a professional Wrapro record mailer(which alone costs£1) and sent immediately on receipt of cleared funds from the wining bidder, by Royal Mail 1st Class Delivery in the UK and International Signed for worldwide. Should the final price justify it full insurance can be added at the buyers cost .
I prefer PayPal as the method of payment it provides peace of mind for both parties and allows me to get the item to you quickly. Please pay for your items within 4 days to avoid eBay automatically instituting an unpaid item claim on my behalf.
