This limited edition first pressing on yellow vinyl was released in 1978 and to say it plays well is an understatement! There are no clicks or pops, no intrusive static, and the only background is a couple of quiet ticks. The clarity and depth of sound is amazing and I do not think I have ever heard a better version. So many classics and they all play with incredible quality! The vinyl are also in great condition and have clearly not been played very much. A FINAL UPGRADE archive pressing in my opinion.
The tri-fold cover is in fantastic condition with barely any wear and is so so close to perfect, again never seen a better one. The two inner sleeves have only minimal wear.

Visual description
The vinyls are in superb condition and have a fine glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a bright I can only see a small number of faint hairlines and a couple of very faint small blemishes and there is nothing that stands out. There is no groove or surface wear and the yellow labels are close to perfect with only minimal spindle wear. It is worth pointing out that the records are not completely flat, they have a little 'wobble'. I wouldn't call it a warp, it's more a 'lift' on one edge. However, it has no affect on the stylus as there is obviously no jumping or the superb audio. It's not a big issue.
Play grading
The quiet intro on 'Funeral For A Friend' plays with stunning clarity with only one very light static as the tolling bell sounds. The next section has only a couple of non-intrusive statics (not ticks or clicks!) and as the volume increases the playback is incredible! The following piano piece plays so clearly as does the rest of this classic instrumental. The power and definition of the audio is stunning and I will grade it as ranging between Near Mint and Mint but a lot more of the latter!
The segue into 'Love Lies Bleeding' is perfect and it continues in the same way. Again the clarity of sound is flawless and that is shown during the quieter mid instrumental, there are only a couple of barely audible statics. A Mint- version.
'Candle In The Wind' plays beautifully without any background. The clarity and warmth of the audio is faultless and with only a couple of statics at the end of the fade out it has to grade as Mint- at the very least.
'Bennie And The Jets' completes the side impeccable quality. For a final track the playback is so clean and precise with no obvious inner groove distortion. Mint-

The piano intro on 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' is nigh on perfect and the opening vocal section is just as clean as is the following chorus. It continues to play with genuine quality and I only heard one very quiet tick towards the end. I still think Mint- is fair.
'This Song Has No Title' plays so clearly with no intrusion. Just a handful of very quiet statics at the start. Mint-
'Grey Seal' again impresses on every level. The intro has just one mega quiet tick and from then on plays with terrific clarity and depth. Another Mint- track.
'Jamaica Jerk-Off' is 'as new' with zero background, sublime precision throughout. Mint
The intro on 'I've Seen That Movie Too' has only a couple of very quiet statics and the opening vocal section is perfect. The chorus is equal to that and this high end standard is kept up as it progresses. The only 'issue' is one tick right at the end of the track so I will say Near Mint

'Sweet Painted Lady' and 'The Ballad Of Danny Bailey (1909-34)' both play with superb audio, there is no interference. I think just one very quiet static on each them but honestly you cannot fault them. Mint-
'Dirty Little Girl' and 'All The Girls Love Alice' play with STUNNING quality with no background whatsoever. As clean and precise as you would like with tremendous power and depth. Even the quieter section on ...Alice plays with unbelievable clarity. They are both Mint

'Your Sister Can't Twist...' is Mint from start to finish and then 'Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting' is just as strong with a power and definition that is out of this world! It has to be the cleanest version I have ever heard. The audio separation is so impressive and there is no distortion at all. Put simply, PERFECT! These two opening tracks grade as Mint
'Roy Rogers' has one quiet tick on the intro and then plays with phenomenal audio. Sonically it is just incredible and plays like it has never been played before, I cannot recommend it highly enough! What a version! Mint-
The quiet opening on 'Social Disease' is perfect and as it gets into its stride the playback is stunning. Impeccable power and depth and... no background. Mint
'Harmony' ends this classic album with sublime audio once more. The audio is again so clean and has lost none of its original quality. No discernible distortion and Mint is richly deserved.
The Gatefold & Inner Sleeves
The tri-fold cover is in superb condition with no obvious wear, best I've seen. The top edges have only a handful of tiny 'rubs' and the bottom edge are perfect. The spine is still strong and wide and has just a minor crease line running down the centre which is common and all the corners are in great condition with no real wear. The opening edges have no handling wear and both the front and back cover are pristine with no marking. The inside panels are immaculate also. Like I say a stunning copy and Mint- wouldn't be too far away but I will say Near Mint+
The two paper inner sleeves are very clean with no side splits or tears, no marking and only a little creasing. I have just seen one of them has a small tear on the central aperture.

Postage & Packaging
I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
