This record is in excellent condition. It does have spindle marks visible on the labels but there are no pen marks, scuffs or any other damage such as stains or fading. The centres are not loose and overall the labels are in great shape with just the spindle marks to report.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are very clean overall with nothing at all serious visible in normal light. There is the odd occasional light line and a few minor light sleeve scuffs showing but nothing sinister. Both sides have a few more incredibly minor wispy lines visible under very bright white light, with the sleeve scuffs clearly evident. Overall the record has no really nasty scuffs or serious blemishes and has a beautiful vivid shine. It is also pressed on a piece of deep red/purple vinyl and so shines a lovely translucent red/purple when held up to bright light.
I play tested the record and it played really well with excellent audio throughout. It lay flat, there is little to no movement in the record arm and the sound produced is great as I say. Its crisp, dynamic and clear with only a minor trace of surface noise occasionally audible. There is a hint in the quieter intro on side 1 and a hint between tracks but the vast majority is clear, crisp and free of any interference. There is no distortion caused by excessive use and of course there are no skips, sticks or annoying clicks/pops. It was a very enjoyable music experience and was a pleasure to play test one of my favourite Elton albums with such clarity and defined audio.
The textured sleeve is in excellent+ condition. It hasa little wear to the edges and corners but the writing along the spine is all clearly legible. There are of course no splits and no tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere. There is no major creasing but there is a little to the rear bottom right corner area. Other than this there is nothing major and next to no ring marks visible. Inside the gatefold has no major issues with the booklet present and little to report. It is still firmly attached but has a little wear or damage around the staples and so is loosening slightly. There are no tears or pen marks to it however and little to no creasing. Overall the whole sleeve is in great shape with just the slight edge wear and minor amount of wear to the booklet staples. Please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible on its condition.
It includes its original plain white inner which is in excellent condition. This has no splits, tears or pen marks but some slight creasing and minor discolouring.
Also included is its original fold out insert which is in excellent+ condition with no tears, scuffs, splits or pen marks. There is the most minimal amount of creasing but nothing serious at all.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.
