Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYLS   MINT-   INCREDIBLE ARCHIVED CONDITION

Archived from new, and rare to see on vinyl (most were pressed on CD) THIS DOUBLE LP SET IS IN PRISTINE CONDITION WITH BARELY ANY PLAY AT ALL..POSSIBLY A COUPLE OF VERY CAREFUL PLAYS ONLY?

This first pressing is a superb vinyl set which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these  pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

There are some light whisp lines where the vinyls slid in and out of the card inners. There are no scratches, or any marks to affect the play- This LP has been archived from new, and it really is quite astonishing -

There is surplus wax around the spindle holes confirming again this LP was played hardly at all, and most people were changing to Cds at this point, and this LP is a classic example whereby many people bought the CD release at the height of its popularity, and the vinyl copies left unwanted..til now!

There is one visible spider line around the spindle hole and the labels are as new..again confirming this LP is pretty much as MINTas you will see.

OVERALL WE FEEL YOU WILL NOT SEE A BETTER EXAMPLE OF THIS CLASSIC LP.

 

THE SLEEVE     MINT- gatefold wide spine version

Correct low gloss Gatefold first issued earliest sleeve -by 'Garrod & Lofthouse' -   UK PRESSING

 This is in pristine condition, you will not see better than this we feel!

No damage or wear and only some very very light ring press and a couple of spider lines over the edges to report..One tiny little white mark on the bottom back sleeve - The spine remains in perfetc condition with no rub or squash.

The inside gatefold as creamy white and glossy as the day it was made..perfect!
