Welcome to my listings.To all overseas bidders Please read before bidding. I will not falsify any information when sending custom declarations. I will indicate the true value of any item that has been sold. It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay the correct custom duty on any winning item.
No exceptions will be made.
All items are packed and dispatched in heavy duty LP mailers with cardboard reinforcements. I use heavy duty packaging tape. I always separate the LP from the sleeve and any inner sleeves that are part of the LP. This stops any damage to the item while in transit.
ELTON JOHN: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Scarce and becoming hard to find genuine Original in Superb condition Limited Edition 1973 UK 18-track double LP pressed on YELLOW vinyl, featuring an astonishing run of hits with Bennie & The Jets, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting, Candle In The Wind & the unforgettable title track, housed in a custom stickered & elaborate tri-fold picture sleeve (later issues were only gatefold). NOT PLAY GRADED:
Equipment used to test this LP was my Townshend Rock II turntable positioned on a Townshend Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform, with a Linn Ittok modified arm and Audio Technica VM95ML Shibata modified cartridge feeding through a Trilogy 906 phono stage positioned on a Townshend Seismic Sink. Amplification is a Lavardin IS amp positioned on a Townshend Seismic Vibration Isolation Platform. Speakers are bi-wired Nordost Blue Heaven Rev II Speaker Cable Impluse H6's positioned on Townshend Seismic Isolation Bars.
Side 1: There is low minimal surface noise at the beginning of track 1 side 1.
Side 1 plays through with no skips or jumps. No distortion the music is crystal clear and with brilliant timbre the music remains dead centre. There is virtually no surface noise in-between tracks.
Side 2: Again there is minimal surface noise to the leading on track 1, surface noise between tracks is virtually non existent. The music remains crystal clear with no distortion and superb stereo. There are no annoying pops or ticks
Side 3: There was virtually no surface noise on the leading to the beginning track and with virtually no surface noise in-between tracks which could be heard. Side 3 plays through with no skips or jumps. No distortion the music is crystal clear and with brilliant timbre the music remains dead centre.
Side 4: Very faint surface noise was heard to the leading track. The music remains crystal clear with no distortion and superb stereo. There are no annoying pops or ticks.
This double LP was played through its entirety and at no point was there any distortion, there were no loud pops, skips or mis-tracking. This LP marked out of 10 is easily a 9.9 it would have been marked a sa straight 10 but due to the very minor leading surface noise it has been marked as.
The quality of the vinyl and play back are absolutely amazing for a LP that is 50 years old
Please note that this is a used item and there is always isolated static, ticks, light pops that maybe or can be heard, even in the quieter places during the play of any vinyl. There will be elements of surface noise. Please remember that this is an Original 50 year old LP.
I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable/system - Cartridge and stylus profile, tracking weight, Arm VTA, arm type all go to make a difference to the sound of any LP being played.
THE COVER: The tri-gatefold cover shows wear to the top and bottom edges. The spine remains intact but displays minimal wear and creasing, the text still remains visible and readable. The covers surface has only the minimalist of scuffing due to storage. All corners have mild age related rounding with minimal wear. There are no signs of any other forms of damage. The opening edge is clean with no feathering. I have graded the cover in EXCELLENT condition.
THE BACK COVER: The back cover reveals again only the lightest of minimal scuffing to the surface. There are no signs of any other damage. I have graded the back cover again in EXCELLENT condition.
INSIDE COVER: The inside surface of this tri-gatefold LP remains as the front in perfect condition. There are no signs of any other damage. The opening edge is crisp with no feathering. I have graded the inside again in EXCELLENT condition.
THE INNER SLEEVE: Original Plain white inners both in EXCELLENT condition.
THE VINYL: All sides of this vinyl LP still retains all of its original lustre and sheen with no dulling and in daylight looks awesome. Placed under a 100w bulb there are virtually no hairline or surface marks to any side. There are no deep scratches to any side of this LP. I have graded the vinyl in NEAR MINT condition. THE LABELS: The labels are in NEAR MINT condition and showing minimal light spindle marks spindle only.
