Elvis' uncle Vester worked as gatekeeper at Graceland for 22years. Vester was a real character. Surprisingly, even though he was Vernons brother,he was not part of the inner circle. Therefore,he was always open to making a few Bucks !

After Elvis' death and long before Graceland was open to the public,my wife & I turned up at the music gates and found Vester sitting in the lodge chewing tabacco whilst cutting up bits of carpet from the mansion into 1"squares to sell to fans.

Vester, like all the Presleys was very musical. Whilst,we talked he played guitar and sang several songs. One of which was the above " A message to Elvis' fans and all my friends " . He later signed and gave me this copy as a souvenir. However, always the business man,he also supplied me with the above A4 piece of paper and requested that I try and sell the two item's written on it on my return to the Uk.

Needless to say, (this was before the days of ebay + a gun was involved) I obviously didn't. Vester died seventeen years later in 1997. The time has now come to part with these items along with other items from the period and let someone else enjoy them.

This sale package includes the following four items :
