ELVIS AND I GO WAY BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SUN RECORDINGS OF 1954. I WAS JUST ENTERING HIGH SCHOOL AND ELVIS AND ROCK & ROLL WAS THE NEW THING ON THE BLOCK. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN COLLECTING AND PLAYING ELVIS. I THOUGHT HIS BEST YEARS WERE THE EARLY ONES, WHEN HE WAS A FRESH RAW TALENT. BUT I HAVE COLLECTED MOST ALL HIS STUFF. I HAVE FOUND THEM AT YARD AND ESTATE SALES AND AT RECORD SHOPS, MOSTLY IN TEXAS. I HAVE ALBUMS THAT SMELL OF MOTH BALLS THAT HAVE BEEN STORED AWAY IN ATTICS. MOST OF MY ALBUMS HAVE BEEN WELL CARED FOR, BUT MOST ARE NO LONGER IN "MINT" CONDITION, BUT THEY ALL PLAY WELL AND THEY ARE FROM A SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENT. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO GRADE THE RECORDS, BUT I AM SUBJECT TO MISTAKES, JUST LIKE EVERY ONE.
