Description
ITEM DESCRIPTION
Up for auction is a boxed set of Elvis Presley titled “ARTIST OF THE CENTURY”. This box was made in the E.U. in 1999 and this is a limited edition box of 5 records pressed on 180 gram BLUE VINYL. There are 75 digitally remastered tracks in this set and a 24 page full colour booklet. The songs contained in the set present performances from 1954-1976, from “That’s All Right” to “For the Heart”. This box is numbered 102 of 500.
CONDITION
This set is still sealed mint and the box appears perfect.
GRADING
I have always used the “Goldmine Grading System” to grade my records and I rarely sell records that are not in “mint” or “near mint” condition. I assume that the contents of sealed records are mint since they are factory fresh, never having been tampered with. However, even though an lp or box set is sealed, the exterior of the package still needs to be graded. Thus, I look for any defects such as seam splits, creases visible through the shrinkwrap, and damaged corners. Any defects to the exterior packaging of still sealed records will be noted in my ads.
PACKAGING
I have custom boxes made to ship records. These boxes provide me with just enough room to enclose an lp or boxed set in bubble wrap in order to prevent the corners of the covers from being damaged in transit. I find that commonly sold record shipping boxes do not allow for this extra protection resulting in damaged album covers and boxed sets. Thus, I have my own boxes made so I can ship records just as I would like to receive them as I am a record collector myself.
SHIPPING, PAYMENT AND FEEDBACK
Buyer pays shipping which is $15 in North America and $85 to all other locations. Due to the heavy weight of this box, the cost of shipping outside of North America is significantly higher than it woul be otherwise. Bidders who win multiple auctions will have their items packed together and I will then obtain a shipping quote on the parcel.
