Title:  “Get Happy” (Last 6 tracks from the album) – Labeled “Compressed”  / “Normal

Label:   CBS RECORDS - Pitman, New Jersey .  Label is white with black text.   Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl.  Catalog number etched in dead wax appears to be CTC-XRD-36347A-1B / CTC-XRD-36347B-1B. 

VERY RARE test pressing, dated 1980, CBS RECORDS / PITMAN, NEW JERSEY.

(Note:  This was found along with several other CBS-Pitman test pressings, each containing one side of albums by Barbra Streisand, Pink Floyd, and Michael Jackson, all of which were issued around that time as part of Columbia Records' brief "Half-Speed Mastered" series, which leads me to conclude that these test pressings are associated with that endeavor.  I could not find any evidence that this title was officially released as part of the Mastersound series, but it is possible that this was shelved and simply not released due to a corporate decision??  In any event, it is quite unique and the sound quality, as with the other test pressings found along with it, is AMAZING.)

Condition: 

DISC:  NEAR MINT with 100% of original gloss, as clean as can be found.  Appears to have been played one or two times at most, and handled with care.  Labels have “Elvis Costello” and “Normal” or “Compressed” neatly printed on them; otherwise are clean .  Fidelity is AWESOME.  A gorgeous item for the advanced collector who likes items that will set their collection apart from the crowd!

Disc is enclosed in generic cardboard sleeve.
