Description

ELVIS... MOODY Blue

Rare original July 1977 1st Pressing...Full details below :

RCA Victor Label No ; APL1-2428 on Blue Vinyl, with Matt Cover & Original inner Picture Sleeve

Provenance & Condition :

This import album is rare not just because it is Blue, but because of its heritage,it is one of only 250,000 Blue vinyls pressed at the RCA Indianapolis plant before Elvis' untimely death. Therefore, this is one of the originals, long before all the other coloured & black vinyls that followed. The run out stampers are AFL1-2428-A-1S & AFL1-2428-B-1S + Masterfonics Gam. As you would expect with an album of this vintage, there is some minor age related wear to the cover,as shown. However, the vinyl is virtually unmarked & Sounds Great !

Detail :

Containing a mixture of live and studio recordings this is Elvis' twenty-fourth and final album. The track 'Moody Blue' was previously a No 1.hit single recorded earlier at Graceland in 1976 and held over for this album.'Way Down' became a No 1. hit after Elvis' passing. The album was certified as double Platinum in 1992. Since,it has of course sold many more millions and remains one of the top selling albums of all time. This vintage translucent Blue vinyl 1st pressing commemorates that fact...
