You are bidding on a rare 78 RPM pressing of "Good Rockin' Tonight" and "I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine," recorded by ELVIS PRESLEY for SUN RECORDS in Memphis, Tennessee in 1954, and released on SUN 210 in September 1954.

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL SUN PRESSING of this record, not a dub, bootleg, or jukebox collector's reissue. The label credits "ELVIS PRESLEY" only -- not "Elvis Presley, Scotty, and Bill."

As far as I can determine, THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1954 FIRST PRESSING of this record. It is pressed in the brittle, somewhat gritty vinyl from the period, not the smooth, flexible vinyl of later issues. This record is from a collection I purchased that contained many other R&B and rockabilly records from the early to the mid 1950's. I am now selling a number of those records here on Ebay.

Now for the condition of the record -- this is a well-played copy. I would rate the vinyl a weak V+ on "I Don't Care" and a strong V on "Good Rockin'." Plenty of scuffs and light scratches indicate that the record spent most of its time without a sleeve. Groove is lightly worn on "I Don't Care" and more worn on "Good Rockin", with visible graying in the louder passages. However, the record plays straight through both sides with no skips or hangups, and is a remarkably good player -- there is noticeable surface noise but the music still comes through loud and strong. The lables have some rubbing and mildew damage.
