Here we have an amazing example of Elvis Presley's first UK album release. This record is 69 years old this year and still in surprisingly solid condition. You won't see many better examples of this album for sale.
Vinyl grades VERY GOOD+ it's amazingly clean and shiny with virtually no marks on it at all. Even under a strong light it only shows the very faintest of hairlines here and there. Visually this grades EXCELLENT, but when it plays there is a bit of light crackle and the odd pop, mostly in the quieter parts between tracks, therefore I have downgraded it to VERY GOOD+.Because it is so tidy I am 100% certain that the crackle is caused by tiny particles of dust building up in the grooves. Therefore I believe the playback could be vastly improved with a thorough ultrasonic clean. I just don't have the equipment to do it. I must reiterate that there are no visible or feelable scratches on this vinyl and it plays through beautifully without sticking, skipping or jumping. The disc is flat (no warping) and the spindle hole shows little sign of play. The labels are crisp and clean. (see photos)
The cover grades EXCELLENT and is one of the best I have seen. There are one or two tiny blemishes (see photos) but these are minor. There is ring-wear visible due to the flimsy nature of the cover. The corners are crisp and the laminate is shiny. The back is nice and white with solid flip-backs. The 'pinched' spine is clean and the lettering is crisp and solid black. Considering how flimsy these covers were, it's amazing how well preserved this one is. I've tried to take photos from every angle so you can appreciate how nice this is. You will be hard pushed to find a better example.
The original inner sleeve is tidy and clean, but does have a small split on one edge (see photos)

**ALL RECORDS GRADED ACCORDING TO RARE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM BELOW**.
SEALED = The record is still factory sealed (shrink wrapped) and has never been opened
MINT (M) = The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition
NEAR MINT (NM) = The vinyl/sleeve are virtually unblemished. It looks & plays like new though the record is used, And possibly has very light paper withdrawal marks or hairlines.
EXCELLENT (EX) = The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing
VERY GOOD (VG) = The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable
GOOD (G) = The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc,
