WOW! When I found this in my Grandpa's basement (who recently passed away), I knew it was something special. Here we have the first pressing of Elvis Presley's very first album, that included the following songs: Side 1- Blue Suede Shoes, I'm Counting on You, I Got a Woman, One-Sided Love Affair, I Love You Just Because, Just Because / Side 2- Tutti Frutti (Oh Rudy!), Tryin' to Get to You, I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Cry, I'll Never Let You Go, Blue Moon, Money Honey. It says on the back that Elvis "zoomed into big-time entertainment practically overnight." Yup, if they only knew what was to come! I'm not a record collector or expert, but this circa 1956 LP, is in what I would consider great condition, as the cover itself has only about a 2" seperation on the top, and no seperation on the bottom, with just a noticeable amount of wear from where the record is pulled from the cover. The cover has no other bumps, brusies, tears, or wears, as gramps didn't abuse anything. The record itself has some minor scuffs as normally expected, no major "gouges" and when we played it, it sounded beautifuly just like a record should! (did not play all songs but you get the idea, it sounds like a record and not a brand new CD!)
IDENTITY NOTES: NEON GREEN PRESLEY AND RCA LOGO, HOT PINK ELVIS, G2 ON TRAIL, LONG PLAY ON BOTTOM WITH DOG ON TOP.
This record deserves to be in the hands of an Elvis fan or collector!
