Elvis Presley: "A Golden Celebration" (6 LPs in Slipcase) 1984, USA/RCA CPM6-5172 Mono. Discs are all M-, no spindle marks on the labels, they look unplayed! The six LP covers are M-, the gold outer box/slipcase is M-, and the inserts are M-; this is like new! To my mind it's pretty amazing that RCA put this out, as it's the equivalent of the Dylan Ten Of Swords bootleg set, having lots of obscure live recordings and studio outtakes... the kind of stuff the artist would have been uncomfortable releasing, and yet, recordings that reveal more about the artist than his official product ever would. It's not just a snapshot of the Elvis that few knew, but more like a collection of home movies! Here's a rundown of what's on the six albums: Sun Studios outtakes, 1954-1955 Dorsey Brothers Stage Show, Live in New York 1956 Milton Berle Show, Live in San Diego and Hollywood 1956 Steve Allen Show, Live in New York 1956 Mississippi/Alabama Fair, Live in Mississippi 1956 Ed Sullivan Show, Live Hollywood and New York 1956 and 1957 Elvis At Home in Germany (private recordings) 1958-1960 "Collector's Treasures" (private recordings discovered at Graceland), year unknown Elvis' "Comeback" Performance, Burbank 1968
Everything I offer is guaranteed. I try to note any flaws so that there are no surprises when the box arrives. Be sure to view my other iamthewitch auctions as I have other interesting items up for grabs this week.
I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and may represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.
SHIPPING RATES:
USA: I can send this 6 LP set to you by Media Mail for $7.00, or by Priority Mail, which will be calculated after the auction using your zip code. Most of my customers prefer Media Mail because it is very cheap. Please keep in mind that it's cheap because it is SLOW. I have had Media Mail boxes take two months to travel cross-country.
CANADA: If you are in Canada, I can send this 6 LP set to you by 1st Class Airmail for $40.00. This service offers no tracking. If you want online tracking, ask me about mailing options.
EVERYWHERE ELSE: If you are not in the USA or Canada, I can send this 6 LP set to you by 1st Class Airmail for $54.00. This service offers no tracking. If you want online tracking, ask me about mailing options.
Note to International buyers: I DO NOT USE EBAY's GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM. Rest assured that your Customs forms will be processed by me and your package will be postmarked/mailed at my local Post Office. If you are unable to bid on my auctions, send me an email and I will try to fix the problem.
