ELVIS PRESLEY – BLUE SUEDE SHOES/TUTTI FRUTTI – HMV 7M 405 – Purple/Gold

This is the original 1956 HMV 7-inch 45 rpm on Purple Label with Gold print, Matrix Nos. 7XAV 1441 – IN and 7XAV 1442 – IN, catalogue number HMV 7M 405, Elvis Presley: Blue Suede Shoes / Tutti Frutti.

The disc has many light surface marks but plays near-perfectly: if you listen VERY carefully you might just hear 1 very light tick on Tutti Frutti. We certainly couldn’t hear any other faults. The label is rather rubbed and has remains of sticky tape on Side A, plus owner’s initials in pencil on both sides. The centre plastic spider is a replacement. The original HMV paper sleeve has catalogue number in ink on both sides; amazingly after nearly 60 years it is intact but is a bit creased and grubby.
