ELVIS PRESLEY – BLUE HAWAII (LSP-2426) MEGA-RARE 1963-64 ALL-SILVER-PRINT “STEREO” PRESSING in ORIGINAL SHRINK!
RECORD: POOR with numerous scratches and scuffs along with dulled surfaces. If this were not one of the very few 1963-64 MEGA-RARE, all-Silver-Print “STEREO” copies in existence, it would have been disposed of years ago. I would not recommend actually playing this Hollywood pressing due to its condition, but it is definitely worthy as a space filler until a nicer copy were to come along. These all-Silver-Print “MONO” & “STEREO” reissues of 1963-64 primarily hail from the Hollywood pressing plant and are extremely rare, as can be seen in Jerry Osborne’s “Presleyana VIII” (2017). This Original Soundtrack Recording was originally released in October of 1961 and sold literally millions of copies in both “Long 33-1/3 Play” (Monaural) and “LIVING STEREO”. In 1963, the word “LIVING” was dropped. The labels show wear, as can be seen in the photos. The matrix numbers end with 12S/12S.
COVER: VG+ with full original shrink wrap! However, the original owner had taken the time to apply tape to the edges in an effort to protect the outside of the cover from wear and damage. Over time, the tape aged and fell off, leaving old residue. The lower right corner shows some paper lift beneath the shrink, likely a result of some tape having made contact there and later being pulled away. There are apparently no seam splits, no staple holes or writing anywhere on this cover. The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40A) inner sleeve is included, though it is tattered. The record will be housed in a plain white sleeve for shipping purposes.

Using file photos can be misleading to unsuspecting buyers to believe that the item which they are viewing will be the actual item that they will receive. All records are shipped in the correct cardboard folding mailers with the record separated from the cover, then inserted together within a clear polyvinyl sleeve, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard filler pads within the mailer to ensure optimum protection.
