ELVIS PRESLEY "California Holiday" (RCA LSP-3702)
This is a SUPER RARE pressing of the soundtrack to "California Holiday".
The Elvis movie "Spinout "was retitled "California Holiday" for the UK and other international markets because the phrase "spinout" had a negative connotation in British vernacular, meaning to make something take longer than it should. The change was made to have broader appeal for overseas audiences and was a marketing decision by MGM.
This LP is a rare pressing from the Philippines, and from what I have been able to determine, has never been offered for sale on eBay before!
The cover is VG condition: the side opening is a bit frayed (the cover is thicker American style stock as opposed to more flimsy European releases) and looks like it may have been exposed to moisture at some point but still presents nice (see photos).
The album is a very nice VG+, with considerable gloss still remaining, some surface wear and rub marks that came from it being in the cover without an inner sleeve for a time are present. I have included a "Spinout" bonus photo as well.
