ELVIS PRESLEY - “ELVIS' CHRISTMAS ALBUM” (LOC-1035), A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1957 WITH BOUND-IN PHOTO ALBUM RECORD: VG with clean, glossy surfaces for the grade. There are a good number of light scuffs and scratches, but none that can be felt. This Rockaway pressing has been test-played in its entirety and played through with no skips or repeats, although some general surface noise was heard. The labels are very clean, attractive and original, showing just some spindle marks on each side. This is a first pressing with 3S/4S matrix numbers in the dead wax trail-off. This album was released in November of 1957 and includes "Blue Christmas". COVER: VG with a lengthy spine split, which is very common for these. A small portion of the outer binding has chipped away (please see all photos) at the center of the spine. This is the earlier variety with gold print on the spine. Some collectors speculate that the silver print was on later, 1958 issues. The upper and lower edges are completely solid with just a small amount of shelf wear. Ring wear is very minimal on each side; very clean and attractive! There is absolutely no tape, tape residue, staple holes, writing or unwanted stickers anywhere on this gate fold cover. upper and lower edges fully split (please see all photos). A couple of the photo pages inside of the album have broke free from the staples. The staples are completely rust-free. Own a piece of Rock 'n Roll history! INNER SLEEVE: The original "RCA Victor" inner sleeve from the era. Some tears are present. The record will come housed in an additional plain white sleeve for shipping purposes.
