ELVIS PRESLEY - “ELVIS' GOLDEN RECORDS” (LPM-1707), A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1958 THAT INCLUDES THE RARE "FABULOUS OFFER" INSERT!                RECORD:  VG+ with clean, glossy surfaces! There are just some light surface scuffs and scratches that cannot be felt with the fingertip. A couple of these scratches appeared to be more suspect on "Love Me", so that track was test-played for clarity. It played amazingly clear and strong with no interference from the scratch! I see no reason why the remainder of this Rockaway pressing should not play just as well. The labels are very clean and original, with just light spindle marks on each side. This album was released in April of 1958 and is chock-full of Elvis' huge hits from 1956-57! These tracks are the reason that Elvis is known as the "King of Rock n' Roll"! The Matrix numbers on this record end with 3S/4S.    COVER:  VG and without any actual seam splits. There is an old tape repair to the spine where the record broke through at some point. Some corner tip wear at all four corners is noticed. Ring wear is evident, mainly on the back side. It is barely noticeable on the front. There is what appears to be a couple burn marks from a cigarette on the back side as well as tape residue staining. This is the very first cover variety with no "RE" on the back, following "LPM-1707".
INSERT:  NM-  and very rare this nice! There are no tears, creases, writing or bent corners on this GENUINE "Fabulous Offer!" coupon. There is, however, some record lip impression at the lower portion of the coupon. Some expected yellowing from age is also observed. I have seen bogus copies of these coupons in the past. They're easily distinguishable by the blurring of the plethora of tiny "dots" that make up the lighter black (gray) letters inside of "FABULOUS OFFER!". Jerry Osborne places a NM "value" of $300 on these coupons in his "Presleyana VIII".        INNER SLEEVE:  The original "onion skin" (glassine) sleeve from the era. The usual tears are observed, a couple of which are quite lengthy.
