ELVIS PRESLEY Elvis Is Back! 1960 RCA Victor Mono 1st Press Gatefold LPM-2231 LP
This is Elvis Presley’s landmark 1960 studio return following his U.S. Army service, widely regarded as one of his most mature and cohesive albums. The material bridges early rock and roll, blues, and pop standards, capturing a more controlled, confident vocal style that set the tone for the next phase of his career.
Highlights include definitive performances of “Fever,” “Soldier Boy,” “Such a Night,” and “Thrill of Your Love,” with tasteful backing from The Jordanaires. The heavyweight gatefold presentation, paired with the stark black RCA Victor label, reflects RCA’s premium treatment of this release at the time and underscores its importance in Elvis’ catalog.
