Description

ELVIS PRESLEY “From Elvis In Memphis” LP (Mobile Fidelity 1-059).   Sleeve has some signs of wear on the edges one imperfection on spine (see closeup) but otherwise in very good shape for a 42 year old record.  And, of course, it is one of Elvis' greatest records.  How anyone can not understand the talent of this man is beyond me.  When he first came out people said he can't sing.  Were they deaf?  Ignorant?  Jealous?  Besides the hit, In The Ghetto, this album has some of his greatest vocals ever... his I'll Hold You In My Heart shows how he can take a country weeper with a repetitive lyric and turn it into a mesmerizing blues... incredible.  while he's one of the most famous, biggest sellers, etc. in the world, i actually think he's incredibly underrated as he's been turned into a cliche.
