ELVIS PRESLEY – FROM MEMPHIS TO VEGAS (LSP-6020) RARE “CORRECTED CREDITS” COPY FROM 1969 WITH BOTH BONUS PHOTOS!

RECORDS: VG++ (EXC) Rigid Vinyl, Hollywood pressing! Both records exhibit beautiful, glossy surfaces. There are just a small number of light scuffs that do not affect the audible performance. The Orange labels are clean and attractive with some light spindle marks noticed. Record 1 shows the “Corrected Credits” on the Side 2 label with “Words” credited to R., B. and M. Gibb (corrected from Tommy Boyce-Bob Hart) and “Suspicious Minds” credited to Mark James (corrected from Frances Zambon). What many people do not realize is the fact that the vast majority of non-flexible copies were pressed with the “Error Credits” and that only a small amount were pressed with the credits as being corrected! Normally, as with coins and currency and many vinyl records, the error is the one that is rare and highly coveted, but in this case, the corrected version is much more rare! To verify this fact, see page 138 in your copy of “Presleyana VIII” (Jerry Osborne – 2017). This album was released in November of 1969 with the “Error Credits” and the “Corrected Credits” version appeared the following month, according to “Presleyana VIII”. Please note that 100% of subsequent issues bearing the Tan and Black labels have the “Corrected Credits” ONLY. The matrix numbers for this set end with (Record 1) 5S/5S and (Record 2) 5S/6S.  

COVER: VG++ (EXC) and would perhaps grade even higher if not for the upper edge bruise, affecting both pockets, with the front pocket being affected to a lesser degree. There are absolutely no seam splits, tape, writing or saw cut notches. Ring wear is present, though minimal. This is a well-preserved, fully original gate fold cover! The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40D) inner sleeves are included.

BONUS PHOTOS: VG++ (EXC) with some minor record edge impression as well as some minor bending from handling. These photos were not originally included with the later “Corrected Credits” copies! I have simply added these to the set as a “Bonus”! The photos are assigned letter designations in Jerry Osborne’s “Presleyana VIII”. Included are Photo “b” (Elvis sitting) and Photo “c” (Elvis standing). There are no creases, writing or tears on either photo. Nice!
