The time has come for me to thin down my vast collection of Elvis Presley albums and singles as I need to minimize my holdings. This week, the Black Label, “Dog Near Top” reissues with the white “AFL1” spine stickers are featured. Some of these stickers were placed on LSP covers whose “true” AFL1/AFM1 status (on the actual record’s labels) never came to fruition!
ELVIS PRESLEY – GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! (LSP/AFL1-2621) MINT, SEALED PROMO COPY! REISSUE with WHITE AFL1 “WRAP-AROUND” SPINE STICKER in FULL SHRINK WRAP
RECORD: MINT and still sealed within the cover! The record will be an LSP prefix record, most likely with the black labels and “Dog Near Top”. RCA Victor began their re-numbering project around the time of Elvis’ passing and the majority of his LP’s were included in the prefix change from LSP to AFL1, leaving the actual number that follows it as original.
COVER: MINT and sealed within the original factory shrink wrap! However, because this is a “Promotional” copy, a piece of shrink had to be torn away on the upper left corner to allow for the gold-stamped “DEMONSTRATION” indication. This section of missing shrink allows for minimal viewing of the “ELVIS” inner sleeve inside. The white AFL1-2370 wrap-around spine sticker is seen beneath the shrink wrap.

All records are shipped in the correct cardboard folding mailers with the record separated from the cover, then inserted together within a clear polyvinyl sleeve, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard filler pads within the mailer to ensure optimum protection.
