ELVIS PRESLEY----LOW RESERVE. I purchased this album from an Estate sale in Greenwich, CT. Autograph on back cover on top. I have no COA or any documentation. I'll let you be the judge on its authenticity. Elvis' very first record album LPM-1254. Made in 1956. This is the 1st pressing with the P.D. credit (public domain) on the song Just Because. (see explanation below). The record has the lowest matrix numbers. G2PP-1282 1S G2PP-1283 1S. The front cover is clean with no marks or writing. The back cover has a lot of writing along with Elvis' autograph. The record has scratches, no chips, stickers or writing. Being this record is very valuable, I will pay for insurance and signature confirmation in the USA only.
? Elvis Presley, the album that started it all. This iconic records influence can still be felt today. Elvis was one of the top earners in show business last year.
The first release of this record credited the song writing to the song "Just Because" to P.D. - Public Domain. You can only imagine how surprised the authors were to find they weren't able to get on the gravy train.
The song writing credits were quickly changed on subsequent pressings. The record guides don't mention this fact. But serious record collectors look for this issue.
