Description
ELVIS PRESLEY "IN DAYS GONE BY" 1979 3-7" 33 1/3 RPM box set w/6 rare spoken word segments & interviews w/4 5"x7" postcards. 30738/39/40. MINT!
During the course of his career, Elvis Presley did not publicly speak much. Whether under orders from his manager Colonel Parker or simply due to a natural reticence, he never sat down for a lengthy interview. So after his untimely passing in 1977 at the age of 42, we must be satisfied with a few relatively short press conferences & interviews. This is a privately pressed 3 singles set put together by Elvis fan Ron D'Ambra of 6 hard to find interviews & press conferences from the early years through the mid-70s that were captured on tape. Very limited quantities of this box set exist today. Sound quality is very good throughout on this release, presented in monaural. Complete w/ 4 5"x7" black & white postcards that roughly coincide with the interviews contained here.
6 tracks- Portland Oregon Press Conference, San Antonio Press Conference, Elvis In The Army, Elvis Talks About His Career, 1973 Aloha Press Conference & Misc. Interviews.
3-7" 33 1/2 RPM records pressed in very limited quantities. Records are MINT with no scratches or scuffs. Played only once. Comes complete with 4 5"x7" black & white postcards in MINT condition. Housed in a sturdy box (actually a 7" reel to reel tape box) with a b&w photo printed on beige paper of Elvis on the front & track listing on beige paper on the back. Box is also MINT.
