Description

ELVIS PRESLEY - “KING CREOLE” (LPM-1884), A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1958 WITH A COUPLE OF PHOTOS RELATED TO THE ALBUM AND FILM               RECORD: VG+ with pleasing, glossy surfaces for the grade. There are several light scuffs and scratches, none of which can be felt. This Indianapolis pressing boasts very clean and original labels, with several light spindle marks on each side. This Original Soundtrack Recording was released in August of 1958 and includes the hit single, "Hard Headed Woman / Don't Ask Me Why". The matrix numbers end with 4S/2S, respectively.      COVER: VG with a 7-inch lower seam split as well as a 2-inch upper seam split. There is some light staining as well as wrinkling (or bending) on the back side. The front just shows some light surface scuffing from contact with other albums. There is no tape, writing or staple holes anywhere on this cover. The spine is fully legible, although it does show some light wear.                       INNER SLEEVE:  The original "RCA Victor" inner sleeve from the era. Some tattering along the top as well as a couple of edge splits are noticed. The record will come housed in a plain white sleeve for shipping purposes.
PHOTOS:  Photo 1: Elvis' portrait how it appears on the "King Creole" album. Photo is on thick stock, measures 8-1/2" x 11". It appears to have been trimmed along the edges. Not sure of the origin of this photo. Photo 2: Another 8-1/2" x 11" photo on thick stock. Obviously a re-print (facsimile) of the "King Creole" movie poster ad.

GOOD LUCK!

I COMBINE SHIPPING! $4 for the first LP, then 25 cents for each additional LP. International Shipping available for select countries. Please do not ask me to check "Gift" instead of "Merchandise" or to declare a low value on the Customs Form!  I ship all records in the CORRECT cardboard record mailers, specifically designed for shipping these historic and tough-to-replace treasures to your doorstep in the same condition as when they leave my hands. USPS has been known to find a way to bend these boxes on occasion, hard as that may be to believe, so items valued at $30 or more will be shipped automatically with insurance at no additional cost to the buyer. ALL of my records are U.S. pressings unless otherwise stated.  Payment is expected within 5 (Five) days from close of auction via PAY PAL ONLY – NO EXCEPTIONS, PLEASE. I normally ship within three business days from close of auction, but please allow a little extra time in the event of a holiday. Please do NOT bid if you do not intend to pay! This is very frustrating. Returns are accepted if you are accepted if you are not completely satisfied with your item. I strongly believe that my grading of records is spot-on, but we’re all human and something may occasionally be missed upon inspection. I will do my best to ensure customer satisfaction. 2018 marks 40 years of experience for me in this wonderful hobby. I specialize in Elvis Presley.
