ELVIS PRESLEY – KING CREOLE (LSP-1884) A BEAUTIFUL “STAGGERED STEREO” FIRST PRESSING from 1962!
RECORD: VG++ (EXC) with beautiful, glossy surfaces! There are some extremely light paper sleeve and other scuffs that cannot be felt with the fingertip. These do not have any effect on the audible performance! In fact, this Indianapolis pressing was tested in its entirety and it sounded like a new record! Full high fidelity is resilient with clean and clear sound. The “Staggered STEREO” labels are gorgeous with only one extremely light spindle mark noticed under a bright light. This style of label was available from 1962 through most of 1964, which is not a very long time. In late 1964, the redesigned “White Top” label pressings appeared and were a main-stay until late 1968. This Original Soundtrack Recording was originally released in August of 1958 and includes the big hit single, “Hard Headed Woman / Don’t Ask Me Why”. The matrix numbers on this record end with 1S/1S.
COVER: VG++ with just some light ring wear as well as some minor wear at the corner tips. There are no seam splits, tape or staple holes anywhere on this cover. However, there is a small number (“18”) written at the upper left corner on the front. Some bending is seen to the lower right-hand corner area as well. A very clean, original cover! The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” inner sleeve from the era is included.
GOOD LUCK!
