ELVIS PRESLEY – KISSIN’ COUSINS (LSP-2894) RARE “NO CAST PHOTO” COVER! 

RECORD: VG with numerous non-feelable scuffs and scratches. This Indianapolis pressing was play tested in its entirety and there were no skips or repeats detected! Despite its appearance, this record played quite well, but with some sporadic surface noise heard. Overall, the record plays well enough to still enjoy. The labels are without any writing or stickers, but do show some light to moderate wear as well as additional wear about the spindle hole. This record is a second Pressing with the logo, “RCA Victor” now it white lettering above the Dog & Gramophone. This Original Soundtrack Recording was originally released in March of 1964 and includes the hit single, “Kissin’ Cousins”. The matrix numbers end with 5S/7S.

COVER: VG+ (Solid) with absolutely no seam splits, tape, writing or staple holes. There is just some light to moderate ring wear seen on both sides, but mainly on the front. This is the RARE and highly sought-after cover variety that does NOT have the black and white photo of the film cast that is normally seen to the lower right corner area on the front. This cover shows some light edge wear as well as some wear at the corner tips. Some minor bending is noticed at the lower right corner tip. The spine is solid and fully legible. It is a mystery as to exactly when these were produced or if it was during a particular time period at all. This cover is found with the First Pressing, “Silver Top” copies as well, so it may have been sporadically used from 1964 through 1972. The cover variety is also known to exist with flexible vinyl, Orange Label copies. A fully original, attractive cover. The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (40C) Inner Sleeve is included.
