ELVIS PRESLEY LP ELVIS (RCA Records LPM-1382) Released 1956.
Matrix Number: "LP K2PP-1148X"
A nice find. Original German pressing: Dead wax reads “Manufactured in Germany”. Original pressing from 1960. Shiny laminated cover is free of seam splits, stains, stickers & writing. Includes the original gray RCA printed inner sleeve. These German pressings have richer sound than the US versions. Visible on the back cover is the red rubber stamp. The cover still retains a great deal of visual appeal. Warm rich unfaded colors & sharp print. [Matrix number: (Side 1): "LP K2PP-1148X MANUFACTURED IN GERMANY SW-HT" Matrix number: (Side 2): "LP K2PP-1149X MANUFACTURED IN GERMANY SW-HT"].
COVER - VERY GOOD
Cover has no seam splits, stains, ink spills, smudges, color fading, stickers, cut-out marks, puncture holes, writing,or bubbles. Very faint ring indentation but no speckling. Light corner banging. Inner sleeve is free of stains, marks, tears & creases. and shows great color. Some cloudiness on front cover photos, plus slight cracklings of the laminated coating along the spine edge. Still, the cover looks pretty nice & does not exhibit that brown, frayed "weathered" look. Label looks quite nice with just some barely visible brief indentations. Sharp cut hole with hardly any spindle brushings.
DISC - E MINUS (EXCELLENT MINUS)
Pretty nice looking surface: grooves look like they've seen only light play. No deep scratches, just a few flecks that may produce the slightest of surface noise. No skips & warps. No residue on the grooves or dead wax. No chipping or cracks. Pressed on high quality vinyl.
