This album is a first pressing of Elvis Presley's first album. It is the version that has the darker pink writing on the cover. Please note that this is a first pressing as the matrix stamper numbers are G2 PP1282-1S and G2 PP1283-1S indicating the earliest possible 1956 pressing. Additionally, the #6 song "Just Because" is listed as P.D. (Public Domain). This was corrected on future pressings. Condition of the cover and back are very good. There are some signs of age and wear. Please look the pictures over carefully. The only thing not shown is an approximately 2" slit in the top seam. While I am not a collector, I would say the record is in very good condition. While it does have some scratches, they are faint scratches. There is no sleeve.
In the spirit of what auctions are all about, this auction, like many of my others, starts at 1 cent with no reserve. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding.
One final side note on this listing. This item was listed previously and the winning bidder took 6 day to contact me and then requested to have the item repackaged into an odd dimensioned and near impossible to find box. Finally, he wanted it sent via media mail. Please note that I live in Hawaii where media mail often takes 2 months to the mainland and must be hand delivered to the post office. I was not willing to go looking for a difficult to find and likely soggy box during the biggest rain storm of the year, repackage the album, travel 20 minutes to the post office and wait in line. Of course, this lead to my first negative feedback comment in 5+ years of ebay. While it is true that I do ask for payment within 3 days, this is something I have never enforced. However, these circumstances made it necessary. Interestingly, it was later brought to my attention that the album was a first pressing. I truly believe this was poetic justice.
SHIPPING
I ship at cost! This item will be shipped domesticly via Priority Mail (2-3 days) for $4.95. This item has already been packaged between a layer of cardboard and rigid foam core board. It is a larger than the album to insure the edges of the cover will not be damaged. If you require special packaging or a different shipping service, please make your request before the auction closes so an additional charge can be quoted. Insurance is optional, however, I take no responsibility for insured or uninsured items once they leave my possession.
