Description
Here we have a classic 10" Rock&Roll album from Elvis Presley entitled 'The Best Of Elvis'.It was issued in 1957 on the HMV record label and the catalogue no.is DLP 1159.This is the first pressing with the gold lettering and the 1N/1N matrix numbers.
There are 10 tracks and these are :-
Side One Heartbreak Hotel I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine Blue Moon Tutti Frutti All Shook Up
Side Two Hound Dog Too Much Any Way You Want Me Don't Be Cruel Playin' For Keeps
The record has been assessed as being in VG condition.Both sides play well with just 2 or 3 audible crackles and pops.The overall sound is clear and sharp.
The outer cover has been assessed as being in Good condition as it has been sellotaped along the edges on all sides as seen in the photo and there is a 3 inch tear on the reverse which has also been sellotaped.However,apart from this there are no major marks or blemishes and no handwriting on the cover.
IN MINT CONDITION THIS ALBUM HAS BEEN VALUED BY RECORD COLLECTOR AT £200 - IN VIEW OF ITS VG/G GRADING WE HAVE A MUCH LOWER STARTING POINT AND NO RESERVE - THIS IS PERHAPS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ELVIS FANS TO FILL AN IMPORTANT HOLE IN THEIR COLLECTION.
